Meanwhile, 65% are classified as negligent data breaches, triggered by users wilfully, but without malice, ignoring security policies. Finally, 60% breaches are malicious in nature, attributed to users wilfully and knowingly causing harm.
It is imperative for businesses to meet this security challenge head-on, especially in the African subcontinent where cyberattacks are escalating and new cybersecurity risks are emerging.
