Last evening in Abu Dhabi, GEC hosted an exclusive roundtable on empowering the digital transformation journey. Industry experts from RapidData, Mendix, and Red Hat led discussions on low-code solutions, application modernization, and artificial intelligence, with IT leaders in attendance.
The event kicked off with a presentation by Maik De Wolf, Country Manager at Mendix, who explained that the company’s mission is to mobilize organizations to make better software, faster.
This was followed by Rami Bou Hadir, Lead Solution Architect at Mendix, who stated that the company provides a complete, integrated experience for the entire software development lifecycle. He elaborated, “When we talk about the software development lifecycle, we’re not just referring to the application development stage—we also incorporate the portfolio lifecycle. This means identifying ideas from the business and assessing the value they could bring to the organization before implementing them.”
Jeb Million, CTO of RapidData, then took the stage to explain how the software development and IT consulting company has over 15 years of experience delivering projects in low-code, AI, Big Data, web, and cloud technologies. “Our team is distributed across our five development centers in the UAE, Bahrain, Singapore, India, and the USA, with our headquarters in the UAE. We have over 500 Mendix experts working on various projects,” he said.
The evening concluded with a presentation from Serhat Dirik, Principal Solution Architect at Red Hat, who explained how deploying Mendix on the OpenShift platform addresses challenges faced by developers.
