On July 5 Global CIO Forum, in partnership with Bahrain’s Artificial Intelligence Society, hosted the third session of the BotTalk AI Virtual Conference. The BotTalk series discusses the impact of AI on the Covid-19 pandemic, and what the future holds. It covers nine different sectors with keynote speakers and expertise from the health, finance, legislation, industrial, beverages and education sector.

The topics discussed in Session 3 included:

  • AI for cyber threats of remote work environment.
  • AI for material resource management during crisis time.
  • AI in accelerating the food transformation during the pandemic.
  • The future of us: Human vs robots.

The partnership between GEC Media Group and the Artificial Intelligence Society has entered its 4th year, and it has contributed significantly towards awareness of AI and digital transformation, in Bahrain and amongst its CIOs.

The speakers

The guest speaker for the BotTalk AI Virtual Conference, Session 3, was HE Shk Ali bin Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa from the Bahrain Polytechnic. The Conference Chairman was Dr Jassim Haji, the President of Artificial Intelligence Society, Bahrain. He is a veteran in the field Information and Communications Technology with over three decades of robust experience in implementing IT strategies across sectors.

Dr Haji was joined by Ahmed Naeemi, Head of Digital Transformation and Project Management, BIBF; Dr Mohammed Nass, Chairman, True Care Solutions Middle East and Founding Partner at Vatex; Kai Miething, entrepreneur and Founder of W-AI-STE; and Jawad Al-Alawi, technology and security expert.

The session was moderated by Khalid Rashid Jalal, Senior Group ICT Manager at Garmco.
