Jebel Ali Racecourse sought to enhance its popular “Pick & Win” program to accommodate significant growth in visitor numbers. The goal was to upgrade their document processing capabilities to match the world-class standards of its racing facilities.
As an innovative venue constantly looking to improve visitor experiences, Jebel Ali Racecourse partnered with Kodak Alaris to develop a solution that could maintain the intuitive experience of allowing race attendees to complete forms on the go while processing handwritten data with greater speed and accuracy.
AI-Powered Innovation
In collaboration with TechBee, Jebel Ali Racecourse implemented a comprehensive solution from Kodak Alaris that includes:
- KODAK S3100 Scanners, delivering the exceptional image quality that is required for accurate data extraction and processing.
- KODAK Info Input Solution, providing a browser-based intelligent document processing (IDP) platform with AI service capabilities.
Through Info Input Solution, the system leverages a cloud-based custom AI engine specially designed to process the highly variable handwritten forms with exceptional accuracy.
The implementation began as a proof of concept and gradually expanded to handle real-time race events, successfully processing an extraordinary volume of data:
- More than 1 million data points
- Distributed across approximately 20,000 forms
- All processed within a strict 120-minute timeframe
- Results delivered directly into the racecourse’s system to select winners and award prizes at the end of races

- 97% accuracy rate in form processing
- 80% reduction in operating costs
- 90% reduction in infrastructure expenses compared to previous solutions
