Malwarebytes will begin operations in the Middle East. The firm’s strategy in the Middle East will be strongly channel focused and it will announce distribution partners in the coming months. To coincide with the expansion, Malwarebytes will exhibit at the GISEC. At the show, the company will showcase its Endpoint Security solution that blocks unknown and known malware and ransomware threats, before they deliver malicious code that can compromise business networks.
Malware and ransomware threats continue to grow exponentially in 2016 with sophisticated phishing and malvertising attacks being uncovered everyday. Just last week, Malwarebytes uncovered a massive malvertising campaign that attacked major online publishers such as msn.com, nytimes.com, bbc.com, aol.com and newsweek.com, with the ability to compromise hundreds of millions of its readers and subscribers.
Anthony O’Mara, Vice President, Malwarebytes, EMEA said, “Our mission is to create the best disinfection and protection software to combat the world’s extremely harmful threats and ensure that organisations across the Middle East benefit from a malware free existence. We are extremely excited to be setting up in the Middle East and are looking forward to partnering with some of the region’s most respected resellers and distributors to ensure thousands of companies are protected and malware infection rates fall significantly as a result.”
