In brief, tell us about your portfolio and your major achievements/partnerships of 2017.
About two years back we saw a major shift globally where technologies like Blockchain, AI and Smart City enablement were about to evolve the landscape. Since our technology teams are well versed with domestic and international tech trends we took it as a challenge to innovate our product portfolio and build solutions like Cipher (our blockchain implementation platform) and Impulse (Our AI enablement and cognitive platform). Our Major Achievements for 2017 have been that Cipher was chosen by the Smart Du-bai Office for the implementation of a city wide blockchain based reconciliation and settlement solution for government funds. We were also signed by the Dubai Health Authority to build a Medical Emergency nerve center for the city of Dubai.
You have been propagating about your industry oriented approach. What does ‘industry oriented’ approach mean?
Since we work across geographies, early adoption and propagation of technology are at the heart of our operations. We make sure our customers have first-hand information about their industry’s outlook on technology. That is why customers have always trusted us in helping them define their tech roadmap year after year.
Your major focus has been on Banking, Telecom and Government sectors. What are your solutions for the other sectors?
At Avanza, we have now transitioned to become a firm that specializes in doing city wide implementations. Through our expertise in working with both public and private sector organizations, we get all stakeholders on one table and help them build technology that will reshape the lives of millions of consumers across continents. Whether its building a healthcare system of the future, an asset management solution that reduces friction and increases transparency or an e-governance use case that increases responsiveness & availability to its citizens; we are in a position to help build cities of the future.
What trends do you predict for Blockchain this year?
The answer to this question depends on the city’s or countries’ drive to embrace the transformative power of blockchain. We have examples from Dubai which is building up a citywide blockchain infrastructure to port all government entities on it. Countries like Estonia which worked on blockchain based ID solutions (e-Estonia). We see a future where more states will move past experimentation and get down to actually building solutions around pain areas like land reforms, Tax Evasion, Healthcare, E-Governance etc.
Tell us about your Joint Product Development Service.
Avanza Solutions is a product company first & foremost. That being said, we have been working with key partners for years to engineer solutions that offer our customers a well-rounded product experience. Our engineering excellence, coupled with our rapid response time and local foot print in the Middle East make us an ideal fit for both our customers and our partners in moving their organizations forward. We wouldn’t call it a service rather a carefully explored strategic alliance to offer the Avanza edge to all stakeholders.
What is your roadmap for 2018?
The three areas where we feel the most work is required are Improving Efficiency, Building Trust and Transparency. Our focus will be to help public & private sector entities build these into their core, so that they can offer customers a much better user experience in the years to come
