In an exclusive conversation with GEC Media, MENLO Security’s leadership highlights their focus on Zero Trust, phishing prevention, and secure AI governance in the fight against evolving cyber threats.
What are you introducing to the cybersecurity community at GISEC this year?
To be honest, I’ve participated in every edition of GISEC—it’s a very important convention that we attend every year. It brings together cybersecurity leaders from around the world to collaborate on making our societies and countries safer. We discuss challenges and brainstorm what’s next in our collective efforts.
Our philosophy is not just about detection; we focus on prevention. Our goal is to prevent users from falling victim to phishing and ransomware threats by providing next-generation browser security. This includes browsing visibility, browser-based SSE, and enhanced protection for bring-your-own-device (BYOD) environments.
A major focus now is securing the use of generative AI. We offer AI governance as part of our technology stack. Additionally, we aim to replace outdated VPN and VDI technologies with more secure alternatives that increase business availability. VPNs, in particular, have many limitations today, and we are introducing new methods to provide safer, more effective access.
At the core of it all is our commitment to Zero Trust—ensuring secure access to resources and endpoints while protecting data. Ultimately, our mission is to safeguard organizational reputation and increase cybersecurity resilience across enterprises.
As GISEC 2025 progresses into its third day, how would you describe your experience so far?”
GISEC is one of the most important events in the region—and perhaps even globally. Our region is filled with fast-growing businesses that are deeply invested in protecting their data and digital assets.
GISEC helps us connect with many customers and industry colleagues. It’s not just about showcasing technology; it’s also an excellent social and networking opportunity. Spending one week at GISEC can be more effective than months of individual travel to meet customers and partners. It has definitely met—and even exceeded—our expectations this year.
