Nozomi Networks is participating at Gitex for the second year. As IT and operational networks converge with each other, the attack surface for cyber threats is also expanding. Nozomi Networks is arming regional enterprises with proactive tools, delivering operational technology visibility, threat detection and insight within a single solution to end users of critical infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, mining, transportation.

Operational technology security is without a doubt a top priority for businesses worldwide; and a majority of buyers are now demanding IT and operational technology, converged solutions. “Gitex Technology Week 2019 is a perfect platform to showcase such tools,” said Marcus Josefsson, Nozomi Networks Director Middle East, Africa and Russia.

Cyber security challenges are expanding as the boundaries of industrial control systems become broader, interwoven, and interdependent. Nozomi Networks is using its participation at Gitex 2019 to educate customers on the shifting threat landscape as organisations embrace the benefits of the Industrial Internet of Things.

Half of organisation leaders polled, in a recent Nozomi Networks SANS 2019 Report, rate their industrial control systems threat as high. The daunting number reinforces the fact that even as regional organisations make cyber security a priority, attacks and breaches continue to rise and are evolving as industrial and digital IT converge and organisations adopt mobile and wireless capabilities. Unprotected devices, nation-state threat actors and internal accidents rank as the top three threats, followed by IT integration and external risks arising via supply chain or partner interface.

“Mid-way through the year, Nozomi Networks has experienced a 500% revenue growth, as our list of industry-leading customers and expansion projects has exploded. As operational technology security matures and crosses IT  and IoT borders, we continue to expand our global market presence and the breadth and depth of our solutions to help customers keep up” says Josefsson.

Nozomi Networks has a strong base of active resellers in Middle East including Schneider Electric, IBM, HelpAG and GBM. The vendor is experiencing significant growth in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

“Many partners have broad experience, expertise and history across many different fields of IT. Operational technology however is a new domain for most system integrators and partners. Choosing a path within operational technology, developing the right skill sets, investments, services and alliances is the most common challenge we hear from our partners today,” explains Josefsson.

This summer the vendor released Version 19.0 of its industrial control systems, cyber security solution, which included new upgrades designed to help customers bridge the gap between IT, operational technology and IoT and manage security in a more holistic and efficient way.
