Threat management and meeting compliance requirements via 24/7 security monitoring remain the key points for an MSS.
Gartner has positioned NTT in the “Challengers” Quadrant of the 2014 Magic Quadrant for Managed Security Services, Worldwide authored by Kelly Kavanagh, a Gartner principal research analyst, and published in December 30, 2014.
According to the Gartner report, “The MSS market is mature, and prospective customers have numerous options among providers offering MSSs. Threat management and meeting compliance requirements via 24/7 security monitoring remain the primary drivers for considering an MSS. These may be complemented by related drivers, such as the desire to redirect existing resources to other security areas, or the need to engage deeper or broader expertise than is available in-house. An important emerging driver related to threat management is service provider support for the protection from and detection of targeted attacks.”
“Global MSSPs not only need to have visibility into next-generation threats but also must have the innovative technologies to block and mitigate them across all industries, geographies and verticals,” said Tsunehisa Okuno, director and senior vice president, director of global business office, NTT. “We are pleased Gartner has recognized us for our completeness of vision and ability to execute.”
