A global speaker, entrepreneur and cybersecurity expert, Ahmed Qurram Baig passed away on April 25, 2021. Baig was the CEO of Emirsec. He was a prominent GRC and cybersecurity executive in MEA region with more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and risk management, technology strategy and transformation in enterprise customers and advisory services.
Baig co-founded CISOCouncil and CISOCONNECT. During his career, Baig won several accolades. He was jury at IFSEC and MESA, GISEC Awards – 2014 and 2015. He was also nominated as Global CISO Finalist at Global CISO Forum 2014, Atlanta.
Baig was a key contributor in new datacentre design and virtualisation technologies and cloud computing. He was also the Chief Architect for Corporate Governance Management System and IT Governance Management System covering Risk Management, IT Governance, Information Security and Business Continuity.
