Muhannad Alayoubi, CEO of Alayoubi Group is optimistic about the future of connected solutions, smart homes and the readiness of the region to adapt to new housing concepts. As the organization gears up for Expo 2020, there’s much more in store for Alayoubi apart from making the region a connected reality.
Give us a brief about your organization?
Alayoubi Group was established in 2003. The organization has been successful in bringing the latest global technologies to the GCC and especially to the UAE since more than a decade. We believe in extensive research and therefore visit manufacturers worldwide and test their products before introducing it to the local market, this makes our client’s life easier since they can rely on our expertise of providing them the best. We are into smart solutions like smart homes, smart buildings, smart schools, smart hotels, smart hospitals etc.
How do you see the IoT trending in the Middle East region?
Well, there is a big trend in the market and its growing rapidly, I would say that the awareness is increasing and people are learning more and more about it.
How far has the concept of Smart buildings and connected buildings penetrated in the UAE?
The concept is definitely growing, earlier people associated the smart buildings and connected buildings to luxury but now they relate it to safety, security, power saving and much more. We at Alayoubi define this concept differently, we feel smart buildings will do much more than just making life easier, it will make lives safer and secure. We are at the phase of educating the community because unless people know what the outcome will be they will not demand it.
What all solutions are provided by your company for the modern enterprises?
Apart from the ordinary IT common systems, Alayoubi is into enterprise automation. First we study and understand the enterprise needs and then customize a solution based on the organization needs and which is innovative and novel compared to the usual solutions, e.g. meeting rooms, conference rooms, audio visual systems, smart access control systems, monitoring systems, automation and much more.
UAE has a proper roadmap for Expo 2020, How do you plan to prepare for it?
We are proud to host Expo 2020 in the UAE. UAE will excel and exceed the world’s expectation in Expo 2020, there is a clear roadmap laid to accomplish the goals. The visionary leadership has been inspirational and we are motivated too, we shall have a share in the preparation to ease and secure the process of hosting such a grand event. Unfortunately, the company’s plan is confidential and I won’t be able to disclose the details.
