Otech, the technology arm of Omantel, has partnered with Kaspersky to provide locally hosted and managed cybersecurity solutions in Oman. Announced at GISEC Global 2026, the collaboration establishes Otech as an authorised Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP). By hosting Kaspersky Next XDR solutions within Otech’s Omani data centres, the initiative supports national digital sovereignty and provides organisations with 24/7 local technical support and security expertise.
The collaboration was announced on the sidelines of GISEC Global 2026 at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai. Under the collaboration, Otech becomes an authorised Kaspersky Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) partner in Oman. It brings together Kaspersky’s advanced cybersecurity technologies, Otech’s local data centre infrastructure, its cybersecurity operations expertise and its nationwide support network.
The collaboration focuses on delivering locally hosted and managed cybersecurity solutions. The Kaspersky solutions covered by the collaboration will operate from Otech’s data centre in Oman, with support and management services delivered locally. This model gives organisations in the Sultanate greater control over their sensitive security data, supports data sovereignty requirements and strengthens their readiness to address evolving cyberthreats.
Through the collaboration, Otech will offer Kaspersky Next XDR Optimum and Kaspersky Next XDR Expert in the Omani market. Both solutions will be hosted and fully supported locally. Customers will gain access to enterprise-grade extended detection and response capabilities backed by locally based experts, local data centre infrastructure and round-the-clock support from within the Sultanate, rather than relying on technical support from outside Oman.
