We are 5 months down 2018, what kind of challenges and opportunities have you seen in the market as ARCON?

Privilege Access Management (PAM) is a big area of concern among the Information Security professionals. In most of the cases, organizations fail to keep a check on the number of privilege accounts or identities available in their network infrastructure. These accounts are mostly vulnerable to unauthorized access as these are the keys to target systems with highly confidential information. However, the organizations are still lax in deploying PAM. Bulk of the investments are made on network security solutions. However, most data breach incidents occur due to unmonitored and uncontrolled privileged access. Being a thought leader in the industry, ARCON has been participating in several round table conferences and summits to address these pain points. Misuse of privileged access is common among the top five most-feared cyber crimes today. Hence it provides an excellent opportunity to grow especially when the compliance framework is becoming increasingly stringent mandating the reinforcement of access controls across the target systems within an enterprise.

Access control – A must for government organizations! Explain.

In every spheres of government sector such as Defence, IT, Finance, Real Estate, privilege access control is necessary for seamless vigilance of any suspicious activity and prevention of data breaches. The key accounts that pave the way for confidential data should be super protected with a robust security framework. The access control tool fulfills the requirements by monitoring the end-user activities and notifying any unusual behavior in real-time. ARCON believes Access Control is a must because Government organizations store highly sensitive data which is related to national security and nation building initiative. Just imagine, how it can harm a country if a strategic blueprint or highly sensitive information is compromised by an insider or a malicious third party due to compromised access control. Moreover, federal agencies employ a large work force which essentially means multiple admins, net admins, data center admins etc. It becomes imperative to govern end-users with a robust access control framework. The essence of access control is to reinforce the principle of least privilege wherein every privileged user is granted permission to access target systems only on ‘need-to-know’ and ‘need-to-do basis’.

How is your 2018 road-map aligned to the voice of your customers? What enhancements or additions are you planning to your portfolio?

Tell us about your CIO 200 experience. what kind of active customer interaction did you have?

We had an incredible experience at CIO 200 2018, Dubai. This was the first time we planned to be part of this enormous event. Though it was a CIO event, we had mixed visitors in our booth. Most of them took utmost interest to know our technological expertise and latest research on cyber security space. We made most of the good networking opportunity and acquired relevant knowledge of MEA market and business trends. We look forward to be a part of this grand event in future too.
