Nat Pisupati, Regional Sales Director, Identity & Access Management, Middle East & Africa
At a time when security landscape in the region especially in the banking, finance and government sectors is experiencing rapid changes, Nat Pisupati, Regional Sales Director, Identity and Access Management, MEA HID Global explains why HID Global stands a class apart in providing secure solutions to the region and how it is catering to the overriding breaches with its unique products and solutions.
HID as a company exploits all the potential markets for security solutions. It starts with banking and enterprises though but they cater to almost all the verticals in the region.
Apart from many bank authentication solutions and card management systems, the recently launched solution – ActivID Tap Authentication for Microsoft services – is very important and one of the turnkey solutions for the banks and enterprises. It enables the users to access Office365, networks and other apps & web-based services through laptops, tablets, phones and other NFC-enabled devices securely.
Elaborating on it, Nat says, “ActivID Tap Authentication is basically a Tap and Go solution, for accessing your devices or even a door. ActivID appliances protect financial organizations with risk-appropriate and cost-effective user authentication that goes beyond passwords.”
Government sector is where HID is also focusing heavily. Nat maintains, “Security landscape as a scenario is really crucial here due to the regional conflicts. Governments across GCC countries are focusing a lot on security applications for ID cards including national IDs, Driving License, Visa, Passport and a lot more. Looking at the sensitivity of these documents, the governments are willing to pay the price.”
Education is one more vertical market where HID is riveting its eye on. He adds, “We are working with schools in the countries on the secured ID projects. A huge demand is seen from parents and students for secured ID cards”.
HID Global is also venturing into the mobile app space where the company is providing people card less access to any premise. People often lose cards, but losing a mobile phone is seldom, so the company is providing security app in the mobile. Once logged into the app, it gives access to the employees to enter the buildings and premises without having to use a card.
HID is also working with major Oil companies in the region and providing them access control systems and hi-tech ID cards and the company is merging the access control and ID cards onto a single platform. The card are also provided to the labourers as well due to the high-level of security in the Oil and Gas sectors.
Finally…
Nat summarizes, “HID Global has been securing the most confidential information and assets of the world with its cutting-edge solutions and has been also security this region by catering to the demands of the local markets.”
