Tafawuq Facility Management launches new ‘Tafawuq GO’
6 years ago

Tafawuq Facility Management, a subsidiary of the UAE-based Eltizam Asset Management Group and a provider of integrated facilities management services, has launched Tafawuq GO – a new maintenance mobility solution that will initiate a substantial reduction in paper use and printing cartridges in line with the company’s technology investment program, environmental goals and innovation agenda.

The entrepreneurial development is part of Eltizam’s latest announcement to invest USD 5 million in next-generation property technologies over next 3 years to solidify its market edge, sustain momentum and accelerate its ‘Vision 21’ business transformation program that aims to turn Eltizam from a growth company to a customer company. “We are on the cusp of a paradigm shift in how technology is used to manage the built environment and make our cities smarter. The UAE is leading the way in the smart transformation of cities, and we at Eltizam are working hard to stay ahead of the curve,” said Chris Roberts, Chief Executive Officer, Eltizam Asset Management Group.

The initiative also supports the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rahid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai into a fully-fledged smart city and will see maintenance processes transition to paperless. Managing each job on their mobile device, technicians will now have the ability to access detailed maintenance instructions and scan equipment and upload images whilst assessing health, safety and environment (HSE) risks prior to starting a new job.

One of the primary strategic projects for Elitzam Asset Management Group during 2019 Tafawuq GO is the result of a successful collaboration between the group’s IT, technology and operations teams. The solution is being issued to all Tafawuq sites and will be in place on all new project deployments. Key features of Tafawuq GO include: full integration with SAP; scanning and identifying asset/equipment; ability to upload images and video; monitoring material inventory levels and conversion of voice instructions to text. The implementation of the new system aligns with the ‘Dubai Paperless Strategy’, an initiative by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council to ensure no employee or customer of the government of Dubai will need to print any paper document after 2021.

Mohammed Al Sharaf, COO, Eltizam Asset Management Group, said: “The launch of Tafawuq GO brings us to the forefront of the facilities management industry in terms of technology adoption. We apply mobile applications to drive efficiencies, automation and innovation and steer our customers towards the goal of Paperless and Green city vision of the UAE government. Taking our maintenance onto a mobile platform will allow our operations teams to spend more time focused on maintaining client assets and less time on paper-based administration.”
