An education institution in the Middle East has selected HID Global’s FARGO  DTC4500 card printers/encoders to meet its requirement for secure ID card issuance. The solution will be used to produce more than 42,000 student and faculty ID cards each year. By deploying HID Global’s direct-to-card printing capabilities, the university now has the most advanced; easily upgradable and scalable secure card issuance solution available on the market today. The deployment reinforces HID’s leadership position in providing universities with the latest and most secure technology.

“Among several crucial deciding factors, the university was specific about the high security requirements, as well as the speed and accuracy at which the printer needed to issue student ID cards,” said Hussam Judeh, CEO of Judeh Cards Technology. “HID Global’s secure card issuance offering was our preferred choice, based on its ability to help streamline the card personalization process and provide a cost effective, high-performance solution.”

The university’s IT Director further stated that HID successfully met all of their criteria for efficiently yet securely issuing high volumes of student ID cards within a short time period.  This was an important part of the university’s goal to provide students and faculty with a convenient, single access card, while also complying to its stringent security requirements.

HID’s FARGO printers/encoders are particularly beneficial during peak periods such as the beginning of a new academic year, when high volumes of ID cards must be printed quickly for incoming students. Additionally, the university is now able to offer an improved customer service experience that reduces wait time for students and provides significant cost savings, without compromising quality and security.

“Our focus is on elevating the user experience by eliminating barriers that hamper productivity.  This commitment to customer satisfaction excellence has strengthened our long-standing relationship with the university,” said Christophe Malgorn, Director, Secure Issuance, EMEA with HID Global. “Following system installation, our solutions have enabled the university to cost-effectively and securely print high volumes of student and faculty ID cards on campus, on-demand. The positive feedback from the university validates that our secure card issuance solutions resolved the previous challenges experienced by the university.”
