What was the main focus of Veeam ON Forum?

The idea of this forum is to bring our partners, prospects, customers together and showcase some of our partner solutions. We want to keep our focus on regions so we had VeeamON forum in Tokyo last week, also Warsaw, Germany, France, London, so we are doing it all over. It’s not aimed to anyone specifically, it’s bringing together everyone and talking about solutions that Veeam offers.

What is your roadmap for partners in 2016?

We will continue with our back up as a service and DR as a service through cloud connect and we have also released our Veeam Manage Backup and that’s geared to our partners, what we are trying to do is give our partners a technology that allows them to get into managed services and even cloud services. Partners can build all this within their infrastructure, they can build Veeam Powered Service for cloud connect or they can use something like deploying with Azure, they don’t have to build it themselves.

How do you deal with skills shortage?

We offer Veeam certified training in the region, nwith this course we ensure they are certified Veeam solution architects. Looking at it from the ROI perspective, if the partner is going to a customer and the customer and talks about limited budget, our ROI calculator shows deploying in some of the technologies you can reduce reliance and need for another personnel. It is cost saving.

Can you tell us about Veeam Availability Orchestrator?

It’s based on planning your Disaster Recovery. Creating, testing and keeping your data documented is what it does. One of the great things about it is that it is policy based, so you can regulate what happens to which tier and define different SLAs. It’s the version one so we are focusing on DR but definitely aim to have more things orchestrated within the availability aspect.

Scalability and reliability of Veeam Availability Orchestrator would be?

Our scalability is the fact that we have a distributed architecture, you can download it and install it on one server, but you can also add components across the infrastructure and balance it, across multiple different aspects so we can support hundreds or thousands of hosts. When it comes to reliability we can say over 80% customers consider our solutions reliable. Even our channel partners are satisfied with our solution.

Describe Veeam Availability Orchestrator in 3 words?

Build. Test. Document.

What is the major challenge for CIOs or CIXOs face when adopting a new solution?

Every CIO or CIXO are getting hit by new technologies each day, it is difficult to make a decision and think about what should be adopted. Our survey shows that it is extremely hard for them to meet the expectations of the customers.
