ADSG and Abu Dhabi Digital Authority celebrate Abu Dhabi Digital Program graduates at GITEX 2022

The Department of Government Support, represented by Abu Dhabi School of Government (ADSG), and Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA) and Abu Dhabi Global Market organized a graduation ceremony for participants in the Abu Dhabi Digital Program at GITEX Global 2022.

The ceremony was attended by, His Excellency Dr Yasir Ahmed Al Naqbi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi School of Government, and His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Abdelhameed Al Askar, Director General, Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA) Her Excellency Sumaya Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Dean of the ADSG and Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy. During the ceremony, 30 graduates from 21 different government entities were honoured.

His Excellency Yasir Ahmed Al Naqbi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi School of Government, said: “Today we celebrate the graduates of the Abu Dhabi Digital Program, which comes as part of our continuous efforts to hone the digital skills of government employees in the Emirate and provide them with the expertise and knowledge required to support Abu Dhabi Government’s path towards a digital future. We aim to support Abu Dhabi’s government in achieving its strategic vision and goals of building a sustainable knowledge-based economy and consolidating Abu Dhabi’s leading position in the field of digital transformation.”

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Abdelhameed Al Askar, Director General, Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA), said: “The launch of this program comes in line with the ADDA’s mission to provide a proactive and integrated digital government. The program aims to enhance the digital skills of participating government employees, provide them with the opportunity to acquire the digital skills that are in demand in the job market, and enable them to contribute to supporting the Emirate’s position as a hub for innovation and its digital transformation on a global level.”

Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy said: “We would like to congratulate the graduates of the Abu Dhabi Digital Program for successfully completing all stages of the program which focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and training on modern technologies and digital concepts, such as AI, cybersecurity, data science, and financial technologies. The program comes in line with our strategy to develop and enhance the skills of government employees in Abu Dhabi to keep pace with the digital transformation of economic sectors in the Emirate. We aim to support the efforts of achieving Abu Dhabi’s strategic vision to build a sustainable knowledge-based economy to serve the growth and development of the Emirate.”

The program, launched jointly by the ADSG, ADDA, and Abu Dhabi Global Market, seeks to provide Abu Dhabi Government employees with digital skills required to enhance the digital transformation of Abu Dhabi’s Government and the Emirate’s economy, thereby strengthening the Emirate’s position as a leader in the global digital sector and an innovative business hub.

Graduates from the program were awarded with a certificate in digital transformation, which included the foundations, technologies and case studies. All the program’s stages focused on providing participants with knowledge and training on a number of modern technologies and digital concepts, such as AI, cybersecurity, data science, and financial technologies, which contributed to developing participants’ skills by awarding them with certificates in the digital domain.

The ADSG is committed to its continuous investments in honing Abu Dhabi Government’s employees’ digital skills, providing them with the necessary capabilities to keep pace with the requirements of the future and supporting the digital transformation of government entities in the Emirate.
