Face recognition now available on Airbus hand-terminals says Walid Lahoud

Walid Lahoud, Head of Sales MENAI, Secure Land Communications, Airbus, talks to GEC Media Group’s Editor Arun Shankar about the latest devices from Airbus that secure data and voice communication. These are hybrid devices that use LTE and TETRA network communications and switch over based on the strength of the signal. The push to talk devices from Airbus are used by public safety agencies including ambulance, army, intelligence, oil and gas, and support face recognition, amongst other use cases.

Inside UAE the TETRA network is provide NEDA, Abu Dhabi Police, and the Army. Airbus is also building a community of application developers around its devices and the network. Airbus is certifying the applications made available by the community, since it is providing the platform for development.
