Gulf Air bags prestigious awards for its IT infrastructure, MDM, Hybrid Cloud

Gulf Air recently won regionally acclaimed awards for its IT infrastructure and development. The airline’s efficient implementation of Mobile Device Management for Electronic Flight won the company the Network Middle East Innovation award for “Wireless Implementation of the Year” at the Gulf Information Security Exhibition and Conference (GISEC).

Gulf Air’s security framework for securing Hybrid Cloud architecture helped it bag the “Best Cloud Security Implementation” Award.

Gulf Air A/Chief Executive Officer Maher Salman Al Musallam said, “The Gulf Air family strives to excel in all areas – to ensure our passengers a superior on board experience, across a broad spectrum of deliverables.”

Gulf Air Director of Information Technology Dr. Jassim Haji commented, “We are delighted to win some of the region’s top awards for the achievements in information technology, a direct result of our steadfast commitment and focus on IT as a key business enabler.”

Bahrain’s national carrier has consistently been at the forefront of introducing several improvements and innovations in its IT operations. The airline was the first organization in Bahrain to introduce Cloud Computing in its IT operations, enabling faster and more efficient business performance.
