NEED FOR THE CLOUD
As the company grew, the need for a strong infrastructure and a better environment was a mandate. “I am an extensive traveler and I have seen how Digitization has actually been a turnkey factor in transforming enterprises. My search ended with Emitac Enterprise Solutions and the solution that they came up with has made a huge difference to my business operations and truly helped in going from CAPEX and OPEX.

Emitac designed, built and proposed a solution comprising of consolidation of Unigulf ’s applications beginning with migration and hosting of major office productivity applications such as Exchange, File servers and DMS to Emitac Managed Cloud. This was followed by migrating the primary business application, Omega ERP with its associate services from current offices in Rashidiya to the new offices at DIP.
Some of the ERP which is critical to the business were to be kept onsite. We also designed a DR at the production site and made a solution where all the application and all infrastructure and users are safe and secure and managed under a tight service level agreement. The evolutions started in the month of January and by mid of February we were ready with the solutions. The cloud is up and running and simultaneously we are also working on some other projects as well.
So the whole mission now is to make IT their business enabler without affecting their operations and core competencies. “The beauty of the relation is that a customer’s core competency is their business and our core competency is our IT services so we will help you focus on your business and we will focus on our talent. So whatever cost is saved in the operations can enable the business’s profit and especially at a stage when Unigulf is going global, this would definitely help them.”
“The Emitac cloud and the production DR is monitored and managed 24/7, through state of art Emitac NoC facility making the whole managed service proactive than reactive and the result is we haven’t faced any reactive issues in the last one or one and a half month,” adds Saeed.

According to Chablani, one of the most valuable aspect that drew him into this partnership was Emitac’s local presence. “The vast experience and deep resources that they have was one of the most important factor. Who would want to call a Singapore office when I have the opportunity to have a local service provider to serve us 24/7,” says Chablani.
