Please tell us about Shure.
Shure is a manufacturer of microphones and audio electronics. We were managing via our German office earlier and four years ago opened an office in Dubai to focus on developing the region.
How are audio technologies transforming the way enterprise communication is functioned?
Digital technology is taking the front seat as the Middle East economies are driving forward to diversify from oil to a service- and tourism-oriented economy. According to Gartner, IT spending in the Middle East topped USD213 billion in 2016 and is projected to increase to USD220 billion and USD235 billion in 2017 and 2018 respectively. Transformation projects in banking and financial services, retail, healthcare and hospitality are fuelling demand for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services and hardware.
Retail, hospitality, sporting, music and concert events open up immense opportunities for high-quality audio, digital signage, ultra-high definition LED walls and other pro-AV installations. Professional Audiovisual (pro-AV) solutions and especially high-quality audio have a key role to play in projects related to government, education, corporate and the MICE industry.
Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Computing are transforming industries, including the field of AV technology. Instead of working as an independent system, modern consumers are now looking at AV as a component within a larger, more fully integrated communications field. Shure stands at the forefront of this convergence of audio and IT, delivering innovative, ground-breaking technology with unmatched intelligibility.
