Commvault, a recognised global enterprise software leader in the management of data across cloud and on-premises environments, will be showcasing its solutions at Gitex 2021. Participating in the technology event for the 5th year running, Commvault is placing a keen focus on showcasing its Metallic Cloud Storage Service at this year’s edition of Gitex.

Commvault has appointed Fady Richmany as Regional Vice President of South-Eastern Europe, Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. Taking responsibility for multiple high growth national markets ranging from South-Eastern Europe all the way to South Africa, Fady brings over 30 years of experience in the IT sector, including critical industry insight, long-established relationships within the tech ecosystem, and vast experience from numerous senior general manager leadership roles with global technology organisations.

Following robust demand for intelligent data management systems from local organisations, Commvault will be displaying Metallic, its pioneering backup-as-a-solution offering, at Gitex. The solution is a fully integrated cloud storage target for Commvault Backup and Recovery software and HyperScale X appliance, with a single pane of glass management through the Commvault Command Center.

Commvault has an extensive customer community across the region, including Government and Municipalities in UAE, as well as leading players in regional Telco, Finance, Government and Educations sectors including Meeza in Qatar, Saudi Telecom Company and Jeddah University in Saudi Arabia, Garanti Bank and DenizBank in Turkey as well as Blue Label Telecoms in South Africa.

Marco Fanizzi – Vice President and GM at Commvault EMEA, said “Gitex is a big event for Commvault. It will be great to be there in person again this year – not only to underline our investment in the best solutions to support our local customers in the region but also that we are investing in the best people. The regions Fady will lead are critical business opportunities for us to extend our partner network and support more customers, and adding his expertise and experience to our team is a key part of this.”

“During the show, I look forward to meeting with our key stakeholders, partners and prospective customers. Many conversations will focus on our Metallic solutions, which have been extremely well received by organisations in the UAE. I am delighted to have a platform to extend our reach and directly discuss the capabilities of this solution to stakeholders in the UAE and wider region.”

Fady Richmany commented, “I am excited to bring my expertise to Commvault at such a transformative period in the company’s history- let’s call it a golden opportunity – to extend the growth in new markets and geographies across a very dynamic, vibrant, region. Commvault’s strong global and regional leadership teams are driving truly game-changing SaaS and multi-cloud solutions into the market at a time when our customers are realising the need for security and control of data across increasing dispersed, remote-worker, footprints. We are perfectly positioned to give these organisations confidence their businesses data integrity is secure, through enterprise-grade protection of multi-cloud data environments.”

“Gitex is always an event that brings all the region’s IT Fraternity together and for this year will be especially exciting for me, to bring new offerings with Metallic and Commvault, to an occasion and audience I know so well.”
