Cyjax plans to participate in the Gulf Information Security Exhibition and Conference (GISEC), to be held in Dubai, UAE from April 01-03, 2019. Using GISEC as a platform to launch its Middle East operations, the company will demonstrate how regional governments and enterprises can leverage its market leading digital intelligence platform and customizable ‘live’ dashboards to identify their digital risks―including cyber threats, reputational risks and the Darknet—and deploy intelligent risk mitigation strategies.
Commenting on the importance of threat intelligence and Cyjax’s unique value proposition for Middle East governments and enterprises, James Mason, Intelligence Analyst at Cyjax said, “We are seeing daily cyber-attacks targeted at entities in the Middle East. While these attacks range in their sophistication and their motives, the troubling statistic is that well over 70% are targeted at government or state-owned entities, using threat vectors such as fake job ads or sophisticated APT type attacks. As such, threat intelligence should be an integral part of any cybersecurity strategy as it focusses on existing and emerging threats and identifies internal and external risks to the organization, its infrastructure and brand reputation.”
“Our competitive advantage lies in our approach―through advanced scanning techniques we acquire vast amounts of data relevant to our customers, their brand, and their business sectors. Then using a combination of proprietary automated technology and human intellect, we transform this big data into meaningful and actionable insight. Finally, our agile business model allows us to “flex the tech”, allowing organizations to fully integrate our platform with other data feeds and become an intrinsic part of their SOC or security strategy,” continued James.
The first organization of its type, in the world, to achieve ISO 27001 certification―the internationally recognized information security management standard—at GISEC, the company will showcase capabilities of the Cyjax Technology Stack, a portfolio of custom-built technologies designed to provide automated collection, processing, monitoring and advanced analytical capabilities of threat intelligence information. The company will also demonstrate the Cymon™ User Dashboard, a simple, intuitive user experience that brings all the information outputs together to provide custom views of real-time threat intelligence data, alongside an essential set of advanced tools, that deliver cutting edge analytical capabilities to end users.
In addition to showcasing their solutions, James will be presenting a compelling session on The Dark Stage, Day 2 at 14:40 titled ‘Where to buy the best Bazookas: The Increasing Professionalization of the Darknet’. In a hard-hitting look at darkweb traders and the illicit contraband they promote, James will demonstrate just how professional these traders are becoming with an in-depth look at their nefarious sites, their geo-political drivers and criminal activities.
Discussing some of the planned regional investments, Mark Pearce, Chief Marketing Officer at Cyjax said, “Having already secured our first deal with a major UAE government entity, we are fully committed to the Middle East market and believe that the time is right to make direct investments in to the region. To this end, in the next couple of months, we will be opening a permanent office in Dubai, adding headcount and onboarding several channel partners. As part of our regional expansion plans, we will also be making significant investments in training programs to develop local talent.”
“This is a very exciting time for us in the region and I look forward to meeting with prospective customers and partners, at GISEC, to share our regional plans and discuss how our threat intelligence solutions and services can help them address their most pressing security concerns,” concluded Mark.
