GCF Announces the Launch of the Global Women Leaders Forum to Drive Gender-Inclusive Leadership in Tech and Beyond

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Global CIO Forum has announced the launch of the Global Women Leaders Forum, an ambitious initiative designed to empower, connect, and elevate women leaders in technology and business across more than 20 countries.

The forum was officially unveiled by Anushree Dixit, Chief Strategy Officer at GEC, during a special event dedicated to accelerating action for global leadership. Addressing a distinguished audience of female executives, innovators, and industry leaders, Dixit highlighted the urgent need for transformative change, stating:

“Today, we are not just speaking about change—we are engineering it. The Global Women Leaders Forum is more than a platform; it is a movement. A movement to drive visibility, collaboration, and leadership development for women in technology and beyond. It is about ensuring that women’s voices are not only heard but are actively shaping digital transformation across industries, organizations, and governments worldwide.”

The Global Women Leaders Forum is set to redefine the future of female leadership by providing:

  • Mentorship & Leadership Growth:Creating direct access to C-suite executives, CIOs, CTOs, and industry leaders, enabling women to climb the corporate ladder with confidence.
  • Policy Influence for Gender Inclusion:Working with organizations and governments to foster gender-inclusive policies that create a more equitable professional landscape.
  • Cross-Border Collaboration:Facilitating global partnerships and networking opportunities to ensure women take strategic roles in business, technology, and governance.

This initiative marks a major milestone in GCF’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), ensuring that women in tech not only participate in discussions but lead them.

Richa Samantaray, Chief Commercial Officer of GEC, delivered an empowering message at the launch of the Global Women Leaders Forum, emphasizing the resilience, achievements, and continued challenges women face worldwide.

She stated: Women have shattered barriers, redefined leadership, and transformed industries, yet challenges remain—gender inequality, wage disparities, and limited leadership representation still persist. This year’s theme, ‘Empower, Inspire, Elevate,’ is a call to action. It urges us to uplift the women around us, ensuring equal opportunities to thrive and succeed. Empowering women means providing them with the tools, education, and confidence to take charge of their own lives while dismantling the biases that hold them back.

The road to Egypt 2025

The launch of the Global Women Leaders Forum is only the beginning of a powerful journey. The initiative will unfold through a series of leadership events, networking summits, and mentorship programs, culminating in the World CIO 200 Summit grand finale in Egypt in September 2025. Selected women leaders will take center stage to present their insights and set the vision for the future of technology and business leadership.

As the Global Women Leaders Forum sets forth on this ambitious journey, GCF invites women professionals, industry experts, and corporate leaders to join the movement and be part of shaping the future of leadership.
