Securex Africa 2027, scheduled for June in Johannesburg, will prioritise African market expansion. Organised by Montgomery Group Africa, the event integrates security, safety, facilities, and fire sectors to meet visitor demand. New features include a VIP buyer initiative, technical training, and a Startup Zone designed to bridge the gap between global suppliers and regional decision-makers.
The 2027 edition will place expanding African market opportunities at the centre of its strategy, responding to research showing that 81% of exhibitors want greater access to local markets and opportunities to grow their businesses beyond their traditional customer base.
“Africa represents a significant opportunity for businesses looking to expand into new markets, but reaching the right decision-makers can be a challenge. Securex Africa 2027 is being shaped around that need, zeroing in on connecting relevant African buyers with the international, regional and local companies that can meet their requirements,” explains Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Securex Africa 2027 organiser, Montgomery Group Africa.
In line with this, Montgomery Group Africa is investing in a targeted buyer initiative designed to strengthen connections between exhibitors and potential customers, partners and industry influencers from across the continent. This will include African VIP buyer recruitment from established and high-growth markets, local roadshows, enhanced buyer profiling and data, curated meetings and matchmaking, and greater year-round engagement.
Security, safety, facilities and fire, brought together
The 2027 tradeshow will bring exhibitors in the security, safety and health, facilities and fire sectors together under the Securex Africa platform, giving visitors access to these connected areas in one event while retaining their distinct positioning. This broader platform reflects feedback from visitors, with 63% of 2026 attendees saying they wanted to experience each of the four segments together in one visit.

In addition, Securex Africa 2027 will introduce a range of new features designed to increase engagement between exhibitors and visitors. These include:
- A Startup Zone and Pitch Den
- Sector-specific and trend-based roundtables
- A broader exhibitor mix that includes adjacent and growth categories such as building automation, cyber and OT security, integrated facilities management and energy
- Technical training and CPD-accredited content.
With more live demonstrations throughout the show, Securex Africa 2027 will see the return of established favourites including the New Product Showcase and themed audience days.
The event will also extend its engagement beyond the exhibition itself through a year-round digital and content campaign, including pre-event promotion of new products and technologies.
“Securex Africa 2027 is about creating a platform where businesses can build relationships that extend beyond the show floor. We are combining a stronger approach to engaging African buyers with more opportunities for exhibitors to demonstrate their expertise and engage with the market throughout the year. In this way, we intend to create greater value for both exhibitors and visitors, with the end goal of building safer, more resilient African businesses,” he adds.
