The fourth virtual summit in the Channel Insights Series unfolded on November 9. Titled What’s Hot and What’s Not Product Categories for Channel in the New Normal, it focused on how the IT distribution industry has fared in this pandemic and which products are hot, which are not. The virtual summit was hosted by Global CIO Forum in association with CONTEXT.
The last 7-8 months of 2020 have certainly been a roller-coaster ride. As channels have become more complex and the flow of business has become more competent, driven and global, organisations have recognised that they need to manage more than just the channel partners. In order to thrive, they need to manage the full chain of organisations and transactions from raw materials through final delivery to the customer. In other words, the entire supply chain.
To tell participants more about the product opportunities and challenges for channel partners, the virtual summit brought on stage Adam Simon, Global Managing Director and CFO at CONTEXT and Tim Davies, Country Manager, Middle East at CONTEXT. Joining them were Khwaja Saifuddin, Senior Sales Director at Western Digital; Raees Ahamed, Managing Director, Microtrans; and Althaf Alam, General Manger, IT Volume ME at Redington. The virtual summit concluded with an engaging panel discussion and round of Q&A.
