The Tech Marathon – Run for Digital Nations brought together more than 500 global CIOs, government leaders, technology pioneers, students, entrepreneurs and emerging innovators as part of the World CIO 200 Grand Finale in Colombo.
Held as a symbolic annual run, the Tech Marathon went beyond a sporting activity to create a shared platform for leaders and communities to connect around digital progress, healthy living and collaboration. Participants from diverse countries, sectors and generations came together at the starting line, united by a common vision of building a more connected and digitally enabled future.
The initiative highlighted the importance of healthy leaders, global unity and sustainable progress, while recognising the role of technology and innovation in shaping digital nations. With government representatives, CIOs, technology companies, universities, students and entrepreneurs participating, the marathon created an opportunity to connect established leaders with the next generation of digital innovators.
The Tech Marathon set the tone for the two more days of the World CIO 200 Grand Finale, with further conversations, leadership engagements, technology insights, networking and celebrations bringing together the global CIO community in Colombo.
