GEC Awards 2018 Gallops a Bar Higher!

The GEC Awards 2018 presented by Dell EMC held on 9th October at The V Hotel – A Habtoor City, Dubai ended on a high note witnessing the gathering of the C – Level Executives and top IT professionals. GEC Awards celebrated its 5th year honouring excellence in the IT industry.

Going with the Derby theme this year, the horse race presented a perfect example of the market. The horses (vendors) who run like a wind are taken to the end goal by the perfect jockey (channel partners). The ultimate goal of it is to satisfy the bidders (customers ofcourse) who put in their money and trust on the race. The race is a steeplechase in the present market condition with lots and lots of obstacles in the race.

Ms. Anushree Dixit, Editor of Enterprise Channels MEA commented – “GEC Awards, that was established in 2014, has organically grown into one of the benchmark events in the IT industry in recognizing solutions and services that have stood the test of time. The deserving winners were chosen out of the 300+ nominations in Top Vendors, Top Distributors, Top Resellers, Top SI’s, Top Project Execution. The debut of Business Transformation Awards was a huge success with 17 niche winners. Mr. Arun Shankar, Editor of Business Transformation explained – “The first GEC BT Awards recognizes vendors, channels partners, end users who are adopting fundamentals of digital transformation as a part of their new business outlook. In the short span, since the launch of BT from GEC Media, 18 winners were recognized across 3 award categories, an indication of the activity within the regional ICT industry. The GEC BT Awards is focused on recognizing exemplary performance in the area of business transformation enabled by technology.”

The evening was fun-filled with various games and activities and was truly appreciated by the sportive attendees. The best dressed King and Queen was crowned to Mr. George Gordon, Director, Africa Master Blockchain Company and Nadia Jawad, Manager – Alliances & Marketing, AGC Networks.
