GEC Healthcare Vertical Day 2025 showcases future of digital health

Global Enterprise Connect (GEC) successfully hosted the GEC Healthcare Vertical Day 2025 at the elegant Kempinski Central Avenue Dubai, bringing together senior healthcare leaders, innovators, and technology experts to explore the future of digital health, AI adoption, and patient-centric transformation.

The event opened with a warm Welcome Note from Akash Deep Singh, Executive Director at Global Enterprise Connect, who highlighted the region’s rapid digital health evolution and the importance of cross-industry collaboration in shaping a resilient healthcare ecosystem.

A key highlight of the day was the VIP Keynote Address by Engr. Bader Almarzooqi, Information Security Head at the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). Dr. Alawadhi shared government priorities, emphasized national interoperability initiatives, and outlined how emerging technologies are enabling smarter, more accessible healthcare across the UAE.

The morning continued with an engaging Industry Panel titled “AI in Diagnosis, Patient Experience & Interoperability Challenges.” Moderated by Srinivasa Narasimhaiah, IT Director at Julphar Gulf Pharmaceutical, the panel featured thought leaders including Padam Kafle (Aster Hospital), Deepak Cheraparambil (Global Care Hospital), Sandip Kumar (Kings College Hospital, UAE), Sunil Tiwari (NAS Neuron Health Services), and Mahesh Mirchandani (Cumulus Healthcare Solutions). The discussion explored how AI is advancing clinical outcomes, transforming patient journeys, and addressing persistent integration barriers across complex healthcare systems.

The afternoon featured a compelling Fireside Chat on “How Doctors and AI Are Learning to Co-Exist.” Moderated by Dr. Abrar Abdulnabi, Director of Artificial Intelligence at Saal.ai, the session brought together expert perspectives from Dr. Junaid Ahmed (Aster Hospital) and Abhinav Kumar (NMC Healthcare). The conversation addressed trust, ethical considerations, and the complementary roles of clinicians and AI in next-generation care delivery.

The day concluded with a Networking Session and Dinner, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with leaders, solution providers, and disruptors driving the future of the healthcare landscape.
