Jean Pierre is New SVP and GM for VMware EMEA

Will be responsible for delivering VMware’s Software-Defined vision to customers across EMEA

VMware has appointed Jean-Pierre Brulard as Senior Vice President and General Manager of EMEA.

Previously Vice President for the Southern Region of EMEA, Brulard will report to Carl Eschenbach, president and chief operations officer. Brulard will drive strategy alignment and long-term planning, while continuing to drive growth and profitability across VMware’s businesses including Software-Defined Data Center, Business Mobility and Cloud Services. Brulard replaces Maurizio Carli, who is now General Manager of VMware’s Americas region.

Carl Eschenbach, president and chief operations officer, VMware said, “As we continue to build our technological offering focused on helping our customers transform to the mobile cloud era, Jean-Pierre’s business acumen and proven track record in customer delivery are vital for VMware’s further growth in the region.”

Jean-Pierre is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience working with some of the largest technology companies in the world, including Business Objects/SAP, IBM, Sun Microsystems and Unisys.
