Mashreq has launched a fully digital salary payment system for UAE employers by integrating with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE). This initiative allows business banking customers to register and process payroll directly through Mashreq Biz Online, ensuring a seamless and compliant Wages Protection Scheme (WPS) experience in line with national digital transformation goals.
Reaffirming the bank’s commitment to supporting UAE-based businesses, this initiative enables Mashreq’s business banking customers to directly register their accounts with MoHRE through Mashreq Biz Online. This one-time registration makes payroll processing simple and quick.
This marks a significant advancement in the payroll services, allowing businesses to process salaries more efficiently while ensuring the experience remains fully compliant with local regulatory requirements.
Commenting on the integration, Rajeev Chalisgaonkar, Head of Business Banking and NEO BIZ at Mashreq, said: “At Mashreq, we continue to invest in digital-first solutions that simplify critical business processes for our SME customers. Our integration with MoHRE strengthens our Wages Protection Scheme (WPS) proposition by enabling a seamless and compliant salary payment experience, supporting employers while reinforcing Mashreq’s role as a trusted banking partner for businesses operating in the UAE.”
The enhancement of Mashreq’s Wages Protection Scheme (WPS) capabilities through integration with MoHRE supports national initiatives aimed at ensuring wage transparency and fostering a secure and efficient salary payment infrastructure. The integration also underscores Mashreq’s dedication to supporting broader digital transformation efforts in the UAE, in line with “We the UAE 2031” vision.
