“Abu Dhabi Health Services Company” achieves global industry recognition using Cerner Millennium Electronic Health Record

All 11 facilities managed by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) have attained Stage 6 on the Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model EMRAM by HIMSS Analytics Middle East, which is one of the highest recognition for its use of clinical information technology (IT) systems and advanced safety features to enhance the patient care experience.

SEHA facilities awarded the Stage 6 titles are: Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Al Rahba Hospital, Mafraq Hospital, Corniche Hospital, Al Ain Hospital, Tawam Hospital, Madinat Zayed Hospital, Ghayathi Hospital, Marfa Hospital, Silaa Hospital and Delma Hospital.

“Cerner Millennium electronic health record supports our goal of integrated high-quality health care services to all our patients. With Cerner solutions, our staff can make more informed decisions and quickly access the information recorded for each patient at the click of a button,” said George Yacoub, interim CIO, SEHA.

SEHA is the only healthcare network, with 11 hospitals, in all of Asia to achieve a HIMSS 6 rating. Currently, there are no health care facilities in the Middle East to achieve HIMSS Stage 7.

“We are honored to support SEHA’s facilities in their success and congratulate them on these prestigious recognitions. This is a testimony to many years of collaboration that Cerner and SEHA have worked to improve the clinical systems to support the staff, their patients and the communities they serve.” said Michael Pomerance, vice president and managing director, Cerner Middle East and Africa.

The HIMSS Stage 6 award was presented to each hospital at various HIMSS events hosted throughout the United Arab Emirates and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
