Tariq Halawani, Executive Director- of Enterprise Solutions at Microsoft said Microsoft’s participation this year is focused on helping organizations across the region stay one step ahead of evolving Cyber threats. There is a need for constant vigilance at the forefront for exploring the role of technologies such as AI, VR, and IoT in helping bolster security systems across the region. Mr. Tariq said Microsoft UAE is happy to share insights on innovative mixed reality experiences using HoloLens 2 that are powered by the reliability, scalability, and most importantly security of Microsoft Azure. Using the Hololens2, Microsoft is unlocking a modern approach to crime scene investigation through data forensics and incident response. Microsoft remains at the forefront of helping customers and partners defend their digital estate.
Launched in 2012, GISEC is the region’s influential cybersecurity exhibition and conference. The event is supported by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, Dubai Electronic Security Center, Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, and Dubai Police. GISEC 2023 took place from March 14 to 16 in Halls 4 – 8 at Dubai World Trade Centre. It hosted a record 400+ cybersecurity brands, 250 leading InfoSec and cybersecurity speakers, and 450 of the world’s top hackers. GISEC Global featured five unique cybersecurity competitions with a combined prize value of over US$ 1 million. The event also hosted the world’s largest live bug bounty challenge and attempted two Guinness World Records for the highest number of nationalities and the highest prize money in a bug bounty competition.
