Bee’ah, the Middle East’s supplier in sustainable quality of life, will be highlighting its technological innovations for smart, sustainable cities at Gitex Technology Week. Bee’ah will elaborate on technologies related to smart buildings, sustainable transport and advanced waste management solutions. As a digitally enabled company in the region, founded on the twin pillars of technology and sustainability, Bee’ah will showcase its innovations in data driven solutions, artificial intelligence and investments in technology at Gitex.
Visitors to the Bee’ah stand will see details of the new Office of the Future project. As the first fully AI integrated building in the region, and one of the smartest buildings in the world, the company’s new headquarters beat out global competition to win the prestigious IBcon Digie Award for Most Intelligent Corporate Headquarter in Nashville earlier this year; and will be a model for high-tech, sustainable offices.
Fully powered by renewable energy, the building will feature a digital persona and a sweeping array of smart building solutions powered by Microsoft, and using the Johnson Control Digital Vault offering. Intelligent edge systems, devices and software designed to optimise energy efficiency, will make the best use of available space and help the building’s occupants be more productive and create a better workplace.
Bee’ah will also demonstrate its position as a sustainability and technology pioneer through its latest solution for the transformation of waste management services. The revolutionary product is a complete end-to-end solution, allowing waste to be tracked from the collection point through to Bee’ah’s waste sorting facilities. The resulting data will optimise collection times, reducing vehicle and fuel usage, emissions and man hours. This real-time information will ultimately allow for enhanced waste diversion rates, that will contribute to the UAE’s sustainability goals.
As part of its mission to create sustainable, smart communities, Bee’ah has invested in advanced technological solutions across its subsidiaries. This includes the founding of Evoteq, the region’s premier technology management partner and digital transformation catalyst, which will also have a stand at Gitex, and Emirates Waste to Energy Company, which is building the region’s first hi-tech waste to energy plant in Sharjah, in partnership with Masdar.
Bee’ah also partnered with Crescent Enterprises in 2018, to form ION, the region’s first commercial sustainable transport company. Aimed at driving a fully green fleet management enterprise in the UAE and the MENA region, ION has deployed a fleet of electric cars which are monitored by IoT, to align with Bee’ah’s commitment to investing in technologically powered, environment-friendly, future-ready solutions. ION will also be highlighting its advancements in smart mobility and transport at the Bee’ah stand.
In addition, Bee’ah also has a pod at the Sharjah e-Government stand, where visitors will be introduced to the technologies the company has developed to augment the emirate’s digital transformation journey, including Sharjah’s first blockchain platform. This platform, which acts as a waste permit portal, was part of a suite of services that Bee’ah developed for the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority to streamline and optimise their processes.
Established in 2018, ION is a UAE-based sustainable transport company, formed as a joint venture between Bee’ah and Crescent Enterprises. Through innovations in green mobility, ION is promoting economic and environmental sustainability, and driving on-demand availability in multi-modal, inter-urban, transport networks. Consistently ensuring high quality and product safety in all applications, ION is creating a zero-emissions transport infrastructure in the MENA region and beyond.
