Golfers’ excitement and channel’s zeal combine to create the ultimate experience

The second edition of GEC Open Premier Corporate Charity Golf tournament kicked off today at Al Badia Golf Course, Dubai. The turfs came to life as 80 players from across multiple nationalities and vertical domains came together to battle it out to secure their place in the grand finale (scheduled in Dubai in December 2015).

The number of participants saw a 20% growth straightaway from the previous edition of the tournament. A trendsetter in the market, Enterprise Channels MEA – the organizer of the GEC open is definitely setting new goals with every successive event they bring to the region.

The fact that the day coincided with a public holiday couldn’t also succeed in deterring the enthusiasm of the players who started arriving at the venue even before the clock struck 7 AM. Apart from the gaming excitement that the event undoubtedly brought along, business smiled a happy smile as well since the event gave an excellent networking opportunity to all present there. Taking a detour from boardroom meetings, the event gave a chance to people to discuss business in the most relaxed atmosphere as golfing gear replaced the tired business suits and smirks were replaced with smiles. It’s not every day that you get to meet the people you work with on a leisurely platform; and GEC open gave the perfect green turf for friendships to blossom and cheer to spread.

The event was held in association with charity partners- Dubai Autism Centre, UAE Red Crescent and KISS (Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences). The event participants were all praises for the concept of social responsibility that GEC Open combines with its ideology. The guests were unanimous with the fact that the blend of GEC open with charity gives out the message that eventually, it’s essential that we give back to the society.

GEC Open Dubai 2015 was held in partnership with Comguard Group, Pure Storage, Dell, Rittal, Spectrami, VCE, Finesse, MHI Global, Kactus, Global Distribution, Gulf Air, BMW, Aruba Networks, Oxygen, StorIT, HelpAG, Bulwark Technologies and Oma Emirates.

The next event of the GEC tour is scheduled to be held at Turkey followed by Bahrain, KSA, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and India. GEC Open is getting bigger, better and more exciting. Have you registered yourself yet?
