The Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, ADDA, has announced a new data partnership agreement with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HPE. The alliance is expected to support ADDA in accelerating the execution of its ambitious data federation vision, which in turn, bolsters the Emirate’s digital transformation efforts.
Under the terms of the agreement, both parties will work closely together in the move to create and promote a culture for growth and innovation leveraging HPE’s global expertise in change management, focusing on culture and behaviours, IT organisation transformation, knowledge, and skills. The new partnership follows and serves as an extension to an existing MoU signed by ADDA and HPE in March this year to bring in the latest disruptive technologies to the authority, which will play a key role in its commitment to offer extreme agility, scalability and security.
According to HE Dr Rauda Saeed Al Saadi, Director General, ADDA, the strategic data partnership demonstrates the authority’s continuing thrust towards forging key alliances with some of the world’s leading companies in digital technologies. “Partnerships like these reinforce our commitment to bring highly advanced technologies, which we can use in our efforts to best serve Abu Dhabi community. We are eager to strengthen our partnership with HPE in the Advanced Analytics and Data Federation domains to further enable our vision of Data Value Realisation for Abu Dhabi,” he says.
HPE will also bring in some of the world’s leading data scientists to help Abu Dhabi in its efforts to design, create and implement architecture for a visionary data federation platform. Once established, the planned data platform will bring in enhanced new services for UAE nationals and residents based in the emirate.
HPE is set to equip ADDA with HPE InfoSight, the industry’s most advanced AI platform for intelligent operations, and HPE Synergy, the industry’s only truly composable infrastructure that also comes with software-defined intelligence, future ready for photonics. The leading enterprise information technology company will also provide the 100 per cent data availability storage data platform, HPE Primera, to empower ADDA with the ability to unlock value through the use of intelligent data.
John Schultz, Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary, HPE, claims that the new data partnership is exciting and highly strategic, and will bring enhanced public services to Abu Dhabi. “As a company we place special emphasis on the UAE market and we are committed to supporting the country’s technological and economic development,” he adds.
The strategic partnership is expected to help ADDA in its continuing efforts to create and establish an autonomous infrastructure that will enrich its service experience and accelerate digital transformation journey in the emirate.
