As a business solutions provider, summarise the business model of your organisation?

As the Managing Director for MENA at Globant, my responsibility is to ensure that our innovations are both groundbreaking and scalable, perfectly aligned with the transformation goals specific to this region. Globant stands as a pioneering digital-native enterprise, fusing strategy, AI, design, and engineering to redefine businesses.

Central to our approach is our innovative AI Pods Subscription Model, designed to enable businesses to augment their digital workforce with modular, domain-specific AI units, backed by expert guidance. This model transitions us from traditional service delivery to an outcome-focused approach, ensuring efficiency, predictability, and profound impact across various sectors by providing transparent, deeply integrated solutions with real-time performance monitoring.

What are your strengths and abilities that you bring to the above role?

My role benefits from my strategic foresight, operational prowess, and a broad international perspective gained from experiences across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East. An engineering background provides me an analytical base, fostering innovative thinking. I thrive on overcoming challenges through strategic team building and translating ambitious concepts into tangible outcomes.

Leadership to me means leading with empathy, promoting adaptability, and fostering a culture where innovation and ownership are encouraged. My management philosophy centres on enabling autonomy and trust, facilitating personal growth and innovation by ensuring team members see the value of their contributions to our overarching goals.

Please describe the expectations of the end customers that you address. What are their pain points today?

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, our customers seek smart, connected, and personalised solutions but often grapple with outdated systems, siloed data, or legacy infrastructures. They also face challenges in nurturing internal talent while staying at the forefront of innovation. Moreover, there is a pressing need for ethical, efficient AI and digital tools.

At Globant, we work closely with our clients, modernising their platforms, and implementing AI-driven, human-centric solutions that deliver impactful results. I am tasked with spearheading our regional growth strategy, which includes managing sales, delivery, and operations, in addition to fostering strategic partnerships critical for large-scale digital transformations.

Our aim is to foster internal evolution, breaking down silos, and embedding innovation to ensure sustainable, technology-aligned business outcomes.

Describe the technology solution and services stacks of your business that are of relevance to your end customers?

In the Middle East, AI, cloud computing, and intelligent automation are transforming business operations dramatically. As part of this exciting evolution, we assist organisations in building digital ecosystems that link services, people, and operations intelligently. Implementing AI enables personalised interactions, while cloud computing offers the necessary agility and scalability.

The strategic application of these technologies serves not just to enhance platforms but to revolutionise engagement, operations, and growth avenues. Our work in integrating modern digital solutions exemplifies the shift towards more scalable, sustainable, and deeply human-centric business models.

How can a channel partner in your industry disrupt the regional market and gain a leading competitive position?

For a channel partner, the path to regional market disruption and securing a leadership position lies in maintaining relevance, agile innovation, and understanding regional needs. Globant’s triumph stems from our co-creation approach with clients, assembling agile, adaptive teams that blend local insights with our global expertise.

Emphasising inclusion, sustainability, and talent readiness allows our partners not just to offer solutions but to mold transformative ecosystems, promoting economic development and enabling widespread transformation.

Which non-competitive business in the region do you admire for innovative usage of technology?

Among regional businesses, Red Sea Global stands out for its innovative technology application towards regenerative tourism, marrying sustainability with luxury and cultural conservation. Their strategic use of data, AI, and digital platforms to redefine destination management is commendable.

Our partnership in creating the Connected Visitor Experience illustrates how technology can seamlessly integrate luxury, environmental conservation, and tech, setting a new global standard for responsible, yet luxurious travel experiences.

Which aspects of your job role drive high levels of job satisfaction for you, and which aspects of your job role are challenging for you?

The most gratifying aspect of my role is witnessing the tangible impact of our endeavours, helping organisations progress, bringing ideas to fruition, and watching teams evolve. The progress we have made, especially our significance in MENA’s ambitious projects within just three years, underscores the fulfilment of overcoming challenges.

The rapid pace of change within our industry presents a continuous challenge; however, it simultaneously drives me to remain inquisitive, embrace innovation, and lead purposefully.

How do you best like to de-stress and re-charge off work?

My downtime involves detaching to reconnect with myself, nature, or loved ones. Whether through reading, sports, yoga, occasional getaways, or simply embracing stillness, these moments are crucial. Given the intensity and pace of my daily life, often across varied locales, cherishing these quiet instances is vital for me to regain balance, clarity, and the perspective necessary to return to my roles invigorated and inspired.
