On April 7, Global CIO Forum in association with JDS and HPE hosted a virtual summit titled Go Beyond with HPE HCI 2.0.
First generation hyper-converged infrastructure, HCI, made life easy for predictable workloads but when it comes to unpredictable workloads it takes a new solution to satisfy customers. Now, second generation hyper-converged infrastructure or HCI 2.0 solve this dilemma in a unique way.

Daou started the presentation by highlighting that IT has become more of a business partner these days. In today’s world, where less resources are expected to do more, hyper-converged infrastructure offers simple experience, it is modular and VM-centric, Daou explained.
He remarked that cloud is not a destination, it is a journey for HPE. While elaborating on HPE Nimble Storage dHCI, Daou said that the solution offers unified management experience with global intelligence and provides a single experience for every workload.
HPE hyper-converged infrastructure is optimised for Edge, optimised for core and is cloud connected. Daou spoke about the key capabilities of HPE Simplivity, HPE Cloud Volumes and HPE Nimble Storage dHCI.
Hyper-converged experience has made life easier, simple to deploy, simple to manage and simple to scale, he remarked.
The virtual summit was concluded by a very engaging Q&A session.
