DXC Technology has launched DXC Workplace Services, a managed solution designed to cut IT helpdesk calls by 60% and reclaim 15 hours of monthly productivity per employee. The platform integrates automated agents with human support to resolve device faults proactively. Designed to sit atop existing technology stacks, it aims to streamline operations and reduce friction without requiring additional software purchases.
Software agents either walk the employee through a fix or complete the task on their behalf, with DXC support staff handling what the software cannot. DXC also claims a 40% reduction in operational complexity and says half of all device faults are resolved before the employee notices them.
It runs on DXC OASIS, the company’s delivery platform for managed services, which pairs automated agents with DXC’s own support teams.
DXC is selling the service to organisations that want fewer support tickets without buying more software. It sits on top of the platforms, devices and services a customer already runs rather than replacing them, and DXC says the design work starts with how employees already do their jobs rather than with the technology stack.
“Enterprises should not have to choose between advancing business priorities, improving IT efficiency, and delivering a stronger employee experience. We designed DXC Workplace Services to help organisations achieve these objectives simultaneously by aligning workplace experiences to how employees work, reducing friction both within and across employees’ workplace environment to facilitate a seamless, holistic experience,” said Kelly Candler, Global Offering Lead, Workplace and Business Process Services, DXC Technology.
The company has not disclosed pricing, customer names, or how the four performance figures were measured. It has not said when the service will be available in the Middle East, or whether it will be delivered from DXC’s regional centres.
